Presentations and discussions about staff culture, engagement, capacity and recruitment.
Neami at Not For Profit People Conference

Neami recently had a presence at the 2016 Not For Profit People Conference.

The conference was presented by Ethical Jobs and is a hub for Human Resources professionals in the non-profit sector. For two days a range of people from various organisations came together to discuss staff culture, engagement, capacity and recruitment.

Two Neami staff, David Hennessy, Acting Manager Capability and Culture and Marco De Ieso, Acting Senior Manager Learning and Development gave a presentation titled ‘Using training and recruitment to transform your organisation: the story of Neami’s Transformational Leadership in Recovery program’.

The conference saw several standout keynote presentations, including a closing presentation from Christine Nixon, former Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police.

A particularly engaging presentation came from Jack Manning Bancroft, CEO and founder of Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience, or AIME. He spoke on ‘Lessons in leadership and staff engagement’.

David Hennessy reflected on the learnings from the conference: “By having a more flexible philosophy… you’re more likely to meet your workforce needs and have a more engaged and committed workforce, who are in alignment with the organisation's needs.”
