28th July 2016
On the 8th of June 2016, Pathways and Neami National entered into a joint Memorandum of Understanding to assess the feasibility of Pathways services being transitioned to Neami National. Both organisations entered this process with a shared commitment to ensuring ongoing quality mental health care within the Barwon region.
With an announcement today that Pathways has entered into voluntary administration, the Neami Board of Directors and Management would like to assure the Barwon community of our commitment to working closely with the appointed administrators Rodgers and Reidy.
Further to this, we would like to advise that Neami proposes to provide continuity of services to mental health consumers in Barwon through a new company to be incorporated by Neami called Mental Health and Wellbeing Australia. In establishing this service, we will offer interviews to all Pathways staff for their suitability and capacity to work under the proposed model for the provision of services.
As one of the largest providers of community mental health services in Australia, we are very excited to be opening new services in Barwon in the coming months.
