Sunday 14th January saw thousands of people gather in Melbourne's Alexandra Gardens to celebrate Midsumma Carnival – the annual event that kick starts the Midsumma Festival.
"This year's Midsumma Carnival was a huge success! We had stalls for Me Well and Neami, and our focus was on promotion of wellbeing for the LGBTIQ+ community," said Jess McGrath, Inner Northern Regional Manager.
The stalls displayed a variety of Neami and Me Well merchandise and marketing materials and the volunteers were busy for the whole day, with lots of people dropping in for a chat.
"We had many festival goers stop by to hear more about our services and participate in our fun activities. It was exciting to hear that many people recognised the great work Neami and Me Well are doing in the community and in the LGBTIQ space," Jess reflected.
A large Neami and Me Well contingent will also march at Pride on Sunday 28 January.
"A big thank you to our many volunteers who participated in the event!'" Jess said.
